The Importance of Skincare: Why should you start taking care of your skin?

We often get confused with ‘skincare routines’. We think that it’s only limited to people who experience skin conditions. However, taking care of your skin should be an essential part of your everyday routine. Skincare is more than just enhancing your skin’s appearance but it also prevents your skin from damage. Back in our science class, we were taught that skin is the largest organ of our body making it an essential reason why we should consider it. If we take care of it, it will also take care of us.

Skincare is for everyone. It just varies how each person does their routine and the products they use. If you aren’t taking care of your skin yet because you think that there is no need for it, then this blog is written for you. On our previous blogs, we talked about building a simple 3-step skincare routine and some of the mistakes we make as a skincare beginner. Today, we are going to tackle why skincare is important and why you should start doing it now.

Taking care of your skin is similar to one of the reasons why we take care of our body. It is because we want to be healthy enough to prevent viruses from disrupting our immune system, same goes to skincare! It helps us battle with bacteria and other pollutants that may damage our skin barriers which results in various skin conditions. Preventing skin conditions like acne to happen in our face is easier than treating it.

As we grow old, the collagen level in our body is lesser. This may cause drying of skin and formation of wrinkles. Using skincare products that help in hydrating and collagen-boosting creams may help slow the process of aging to appear.

It takes months for a season to change but not in our skin! Did you know that skin is often called a complicated organ? It’s because it changes daily! Our skin sheds every day. This means that the skin continuously sheds dead skin cells to replace them with new ones. However, there are times wherein dead skin cells aren’t removed as they should. This results in making your skin look dry and flaky! Dead skin cells may also build up and clog the pores making them larger or worse – it might be irritated and become an acne!

So it’s important that we cleanse our skin to prevent pollutants from sitting onto our skin too long. A proper skincare routine would help your skin to become healthy and looking radiant after!

Since skin is the largest organ in our body, it plays an important role in protecting us from microbes and other unwanted dirt. If our skin isn’t stable enough to protect us, it may result in infections. Thus, skincare is for everyone because it helps us protect our skin that protects us!

Skincare is for EVERYONE! It is important that we take care of our skin because it protects us. It also helps us prevent skin conditions like acne, drying of face, aging and flakiness from occurring. Skincare isn’t just made to make our skin look pretty but it also keeps skin healthy up to its deep layer.
